There’s nothing that beats the authentic, smoky flavour of pita breads baked in a Wood Fired Oven. Follow our super-simple guide below to enjoy your own homemade pita breads! Preparation and Cooking Time: 30 minutes


Serves: 8

Ingredients

  • Shop-bought pizza dough – or follow our own recipe for delicious pizza dough
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon yoghurt

Method

  1. Combine the dough, sugar and yoghurt together.
  2. Section out the dough into 8 balls and shape each one into circular disks:
  3. Thinner dough: creates the pocket-style bread that is great for sandwiches and gyros.
  4. Thicker dough: creates a pita bread that is perfect for scooping and dipping.
  5. Bake one or two at a time in the Wood Fired Oven until puffed and slightly brown.
  6. Ready to serve immediately or can be frozen for quality homemade pita on-demand!
